Braden Carmichael never imagined he’d fall as hard and as fast as he did for Jocelyn Butler. He also could not have anticipated how difficult it would be to convince her to give in to love. But now that he has her, he’s never letting go. He’s got it all planned - the passionate proposal, the dream wedding, the sexy Hawaiian honeymoon - even the perfect family they’ll start.

After trying to flee from her painful past, Joss is finally allowing herself to embrace the future. But when things start moving faster than she anticipated, she finds herself panicking over something Braden can’t understand. After everything they’ve been through, Joss is sure that their love can survive even her worst fears. But, this time, she may push Braden too far - and risk losing everything all over again…

My thoughts

On Dublin Street was my first book of Samantha Young. She instantly became one of my favorite authors and I fell in love with Braden and Joss. I was excited to see that they were given an own novella and couldn't wait to get my hands on Castle Hill to find out what has become of them.
When you loved “On Dublin Street”, you’ll love this one too. Castle Hill is a beautiful update on Joss and Braden’s happy ever after.

Joss and Braden life becomes complicated as they enter the next phases of their relationship - engagement, marriage, honeymoon and a big surprise for them both that throws them off track for a short while and puts a divide between them. Joss and Braden still have issues of jealousy and control, but Joss has yet to overcome her greatest fear and together they will have to face the reality that will be their future. Only this time, a lack of communication and misunderstandings may force the couple to take a hard look at what they want and what they expected from each other- and it looks like they each may want something different.

Castle Hill is a short story about misunderstandings; emotional withdrawal between two people who have given their hearts and their souls to one another, but in the end must learn that not everything is about what you want but what you want and need – together.

We all know, short stories and novellas are always too short. It left me wanting more and I hope Samantha isn't finished with Braden and Joss yet.

Samantha Young gave Braden and Joss Fans a great christmas gift. A perfect epioulge to On Dublin Street. It’s a short read packed with a lot emotions and fun. A great preparation for the next full length book, Before Jamaica Lane, out early next year.
