SOMETIMES SIZE DOES MATTER

Belinda Gordon thought she had it all—a great job, wonderful friends, a home of her own. She’s even come to love her voluptuous body. But she still can’t shake the feeling that something is missing. And then Carter Lancaster, aka Her Biggest Mistake, shows up in town, as irresistible as ever, and shakes up her entire world.

WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE

Carter never expected to find Belinda in town, looking as delicious as the day he married her five years ago—before she walked out on him after six weeks and a painful misunderstanding that included his baby daughter, Ruby. A quick divorce is the sensible option—but Carter can’t let Belinda go now, not when he can see the family they could be. Love may be a curveball, but this time he’s going to prove to Belinda that he can hit it out of the park…

My thoughts

I kindly received Gentlemen Prefer Curves in exchange of an honest review by the publisher via Netgalley.

Firstly, you have to know Gentlemen Prefer Curves is the third book in the Perfect Fit series but can be read as a stand alone book. I have not read the other parts in the series, it worked perfectly for me.

Four years ago Belinda Gordon met Carter Lancaster in Los Angeles. They went on a few dates and within four weeks of laying eyes on each other, they married. Certainly this was too fast. After just six weeks of marriage the relationship was over. Belinda left the city heartbroken, after she found out Carter had an ex-wife that he’d never mentioned and a baby that he didn’t even know about. Back in Durant (Belinda's hometown) Belinda became business partner of her friends boutique. She tries to get back her life to normal and forget about Carter but Belinda was still hurt badly. Just as she is wadeing her way back into the dating, Carter, who she hasn’t seen in four years, shows up in her home town with his five year old daughter Ruby. He wants to spent more time with his daugther and finally get the divorce that neither he or Belinda had ever filed for. Will their love have a second chance?

Gentlemen Prefer Curves is a truly great read. It was the first time I've read a novel by Sugar Jamison. It flows well and all of the characters are fantastic. Sugar Jamisons’s writing is brilliant. I felt involved throughout the book and there was nothing I didn’t like about it. Belinda isn't like most women. She isn't petite, instead she's too short, too curvy, too red, too imperfect. There are people that comment on her weight, but there are just as many that compliment her figure. She loves herself and she's such an great leading heroine. That makes her very likeable and I easily could releate to her.
Carter and Belinda are going through a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I was rooting for them to fix their issues, I couldn't stop turning the pages. Ruby was truly my favourite character in the book. She is the cutest kid I've read in a book for a long time. The bond which is developing between Belinda and Ruby is so beautiful and heartwarming. The whole book just flows so well and I found it a pleasure to read. This is without a doubt one of the best "first read" by an author I have ever read. I can't wait to read more of Sugar Jamison's writing.
